Training Church and community leaders
Since its inception, CTM Kenya has been committed to equipping church and community leaders with contextualized training that addresses urban challenges. Our training programs inspire both emerging and experienced leaders to embrace a lifestyle of action and reflection. Over the last 12 years, we have trained more than 1,200 leaders across Kenya, with a significant focus on Nairobi.As a member of the Urban Training Collaborative (UTC), we train leaders through a holistic model centered on:

ABOUT OUR PROGRAM
- Our training certificate is called Transformational Urban Leadership Training-it is holistic and designed for church and community leaders serving in the city of Nairobi, Kisumu, Nakuru, Mumias town, and their environs.
Our leaders are identified (by other leaders, some are part of the pastors’ fellowships, community-based organization, friends of organizations known to us, networks), mobilized, trained, and those gifted, upon graduation, are trained to be trainers.
Our training is Biblical and contextually relevant- We seek relevance and practicality in application of the principles we learn in class from all our training course.
- The program is run in two levels.
OUR COMMITMENT
- Enhanced competencies and confidence for ministry and community leadership in a variety of issues such as administration, preaching and teaching, policy formulation and strategic leadership, market place leadership and ministry among others. The leaders have become community consultants.
Church and community leaders who love and serve their communities inspired by Godly principles learnt from our training and finding a community to journey with as they serve.
Mutual peers support groups that have emerged organically and sustained by friendships and ministry interests.
A sense of unity of ministry among the leaders in addressing community issues despite their religious and denominational differences.
New trainers coming from our graduates in various parts of the city.
Program Impact

- Emerging networks of leaders from across the city who identify with the philosophy of ministry developed from the training-seeking the peace of the city by loving and serving our city, we view our city as our classroom, parish, playgroundCreation of safe spaces and tables for the leaders’ routine self-care monthly meetings.
- Through our model of urban leadership, there has emerged of connections, partnerships, and networks beyond us as an organization.
