Economic Empowerment

Economic Empowerment is part of sustainable livelihoods and as such is a key component of facilitating well being in households. People defined by constant marginalisation are known to be highly vulnerable to financial shocks often leading to a cycle of poverty. They have few avenues of addressing constantly emerging emergencies and are also defined by limited investment options even though they possess skills and some economic survival strategies through small businesses and agribusinesses for those in the peri-urban and rural areas.

We connect entrepreneurs with training opportunities, as well as facilitate access to low or no interest loans. We are involved in projects ranging from small to large where our smallest project involved a lady being able to access a few dollars to set up a roadside fresh vegetable kiosk to larger ones like construction of low income housing units.

We continue to welcome partnership in this area.
